MTN out of stock / false advertising

On the 24th of November 2020 I upgraded my device due to being notified of a Black Friday deal via email. After Concluding the transaction and receiving a approval email I did not hear anything back regarding delivery of the device for the next couple of days. Concerned that the special might expire I contacted customer care. Due to a fault on their side the order was canceled and redone on the 4th of Dec. As of 22nd January 2021 I have still not received my device. The excuse being that they are out of stock on the promo item meaning they can't deliver the phone either. This excuse is unacceptable as the order was placed on the launch day of the promo. I have not been offered a alternative nor have I been assisted in any way shape or form. This is false advertising. For one of the largest networks on the country to be this *********** and uninterested is just astounding.
