MTN organized **** on clients who want to cancel their contracts

My contract with MTN recently expired. I called their cancellations department to cancel my contract in anticipation of it expiring. A lady named Themba was the consultant and told offered me a contract which was very good value for money and considerably cheaper so I accpeted. A month later nothing had changed and I was still debited the higher amount. I then phoned back and my called was handled by a gentleman called Morris. He offered me the same deal, processed it over the phone and promised to send me the contract to confirm the verbal contract we had agreed to over the phone. Since then all of my emails to MTN have been ignored, I have been signed up to a new contract, the terms of which they will not send me, and this month when my data and minutes were loaded, they were for a quarter of the airtime and data as discussed on the call which I was told served as a verbal contract.

This is the most ********* behavior I have ever experienced from a company in my life. They sign you up to a 2 year contract, blatantly lying about the terms, and then refuse to reply to your emails, accept your calls, or even send you proof of your terms of contract.

MTN is running an organized **** against their customers who no longer wish to use their service, by trapping them in a contract, and then refusing to take their calls when they try to get out of these contracts.
