MTN ONLY FOR THE INTELLIGENT! BEWARE!!

I went to an MTN store in Kollonade to get an upgrade.I was given the phone still in the box,no manual and was not told to do a sim swap in the phone,let alone that I had to get a smaller sim card.Anyway at University I must have missed the module that educates you about phones and which sim cards to use for which phone,also advising that phones no longer come with manuals as MTN seems to believe we have a qualification for that. I inserted a wrong sim card into the phone and had to pay R550 to remove the sim card. I went to the shop only to be looked at stupidly with all the colleques giving a disgracing look on how stupid I am and all saying how can I do something like that. To make it worse I was told it was not the consultant responsibility to open the box and check if the phone is in good order and to advise on the sim card or inserting it for me, I should have asked the consultant to do it for me.Guess what! MTN also advised that once the phone is in your position, it's your responsibility and they could not assist me.What happened to the days when good service was offered and there were good consultants.Very disappointed and must get a network provider for people like me who missed that class in University.
