MTN Online - Wont grant my request to cancel a contract

Honestly the worst customer service I have received, I app**** for a cellphone contract online , the advisor said I should take a sim contract for 3 months first , I then agreed but when the contract came through it should it was for 36 month and also a much higher amount we agreed upon .

I messaged MTN and made them aware of the misleading information and requested for the contract to be cancelled , they got in touch with me and said they going to look into the mater , i made them aware of the situation more than 2 weeks already has gone by and every time all they say is they still checking if i have a account with them instead of just granting that I want it cancelled.

I haven't gotten the sim also till this day so I'm not liable for anything, but still they are of no use.

They wont cancel the contract or tell me what is happening, I'm stuck with this contract and thinking i need to go to the ombudsman because I'm tired of explain myself to them just to different Advisors' , when you apply for a contract they are so fast to respond but to cancel they are really rude and of no help!!!
