MTN online not sending bundle and not helping!

On Tuesday I went online to purchase R160.00 data bundle, something I have done many times before without any problems.

I got an email with an order confirmation - ***

I called the help line a couple of time, no one rep****, eventually today, (Saturday, 4 days later!), I got hold of someone who was less than willing to help.
She said she has no record of the transaction and I must _fax_ her my bank statement!!!

She said she cannot use my order number for some obscure reason!

What is the point of the order number if no one can use it?
What is the point of me faxing anything? What will it prove?
Why is the call centre so unwilling/unhappy to help anybody as if I am nothing more *****.

I also logged a complaint on Friday morning, (#***4), and heard absolutely nothing since!

I have now started procedures with Discovery to dispute the payment.

Hello FFMG,

Thank you for your post.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.

We have investigated the request and do not pick up any data loaded for R160.00 (1GB).

We do not have access to systems to check the order confirmation, this confirmation is with the bank or from the system purchased.

We do require the statement from the bank to confirm that the data has been purchased to refund your for the data not received.

We do apologize for the service received.

The request has been logged but not finalized as yet for the back end technicians to see if they can pick up on the system for the 1GB data.

Please fax to me ***.

Kind Regards,

Alice van der Merwe

Well, I got absolutely nowhere with MTN, (as expected), so I contacted Discovery/FNB and I was refunded my R160.00. My MTN account still shows as "Not yet delivered", I am amazed that I can easily see that, yet MTN seems incapable of doing it... Thanks Discovery/FNB for the prompt efficient service, (I suspect they are used to MTN and their 'support') Those of you dealing with MTN better make sure your banks refunds you as you will not be helped by MTN FFMG
