MTN Online No Stock Clickbait

On Monday 13 November 2023 I tried to upgrade an existing contract with MTN via their online portal. I went online as the specific device I was looking for, was only available online. The process went smoothly with an email stating that my upgrade had been received and that I will be contacted soon in regards my upgrade. On Wednesday 15 November I started following up why I have not received any feedback in regards my upgrade. After several calls and whatsapps I got hold of a living person that I could explain my problem. I was then told that they do not have stock of this device anymore and a more expensive device were suggested to fulfill my needs. Up to then I could still understand (although an email / whatsapp / sms notifying me of the no stock situation would have been appreciated) but then this morning the same device is still being advertised on their website. This feels a lot like clickbait advertising and not something that I would have expected from a big company like MTN (whom I have been supporting for more than 20 years)
