mtn - obstacle course for cancelling contracts

i'm trying to cancel a contract . You have to phone 135 - which is a long wait in itself before you get through to someone but they then have to transfer you to retentions and this is when the real wait begins . I phoned several times last week waiting for over 30 mins each time before i had to ring off to get back to work . The service is pathetic & cumbersome and i get the feeling they make the process as difficult as possible to avoid people cancelling their contracts . My case remains unresolved.
