MTN number duplicated without consent

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding a *****ulent transaction that took place on my Tyme Bank account due to MTN negligence in doing a sim swap on my number.

On 05 March, I received a notification of an unauthorized transaction on my account and called MTN after my phone showed emergency numbers only. Upon investigation, I discovered that my phone number had been swapped to a new SIM card without my knowledge or consent. This swap was facilitated by MTN, despite my number being registered to my name and ID document. I am appalled that MTN allowed this swap to occur without verifying the identity of the person requesting the change. As a result, the perpetrator was able to gain access to my account and stole my money.
