MTN not coming to the party

About 18 months ago I wanted to upgrade my data line and the walk in center could not help me and suggested that I call MTN as they offer better deals.

Which I did, I had my own device so the sales person told me that it would be month to month and I can cancel any time.

Guess what tried to cancel and it turns out its a 24 month contract.

I asked for the phone conversation which the MTN guy that I was speaking to over the phone said that they would provide. I emailed and asked for it, Got told that they don't give them out and that the call was audited and all was in order.

I still asked for the copy again and now I was told that I must go to an MTN store, get there email address and name of the person working there so that they can send the recording to them, then i must go to that shop again to listen to it.

Why is this my responsibility to organize ???? Please tell me that. I want the recording.

What also looks like it or turns out that I never even dealt with MTN when doing the upgrade call 18 month ago. Instead it is Mobileplus or some garbage like that.

It would appear that MTN doesn't care about its clients and maybe I need to port the number to another mobile provider as being a client for 20 years means nothing.
