MTN - no way hose

Having renewed my contract, rather having changed from voice to data, and obtaining a laptop for my small business, I have had endless problems. The laptop out of the box has not worked one day. Alberton MTN where I bought brushed me off telling me that I have to contact a certain number for them to collect the machine to attend to the fault. All good and well, 2 weeks down the line I cannot get through (does this mean they have that many issues - scary). Went to MTN at the The Glen I was told in very rude tones the YOU MUST PHONE THAT NUMBER. They relented and phoned (about 20 times) I was told R450 and if you broke it (due to spillage or whatever) you pay the full cost of the repair. Seriously, they pick it up from your home (no one there) what the hell I brought the machine in the harddrive is faulty - right from the outset. What do you mean I have to pay for this.

I have been a customer since inception of MTN - what has happened?????

No customer service, very rude, selling you dude products - should I continue.

Dear Alice - REQ:*** Please find below an email we have now received regarding the laptop. The concern here is that this is a third party collecting and third party fixing. It is imp**** that the cost will be for us if "water was messed on it". This laptop has never worked. We should have been able to return it in its box to the shop where we purchased the contract. Please advise what needs to be done. Should we follow the email instructions? Your advise in this matter would be appreciated. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Denzil Moonsamy <***> Date: Fri, May 13, 2016 at 9:42 AM Subject: Collection for Repair To: "harryfrauendor***mail.com" Cc: "***" <***> Hi Sir/Madam I require the following information regarding collection of the laptop: If you require the laptop to be picked up from the Store then I will need a contact person from the store with details for collection to pass on to a courier company. Is there a reason why I have not had feedback from you. You are proving to me that the service at MTN no longer exists. I feel that by taking out the contract for the laptop you have actually crocked me. I suggest you come and uplift laptop that is not working, cancel the contract. So I can go and get another working laptop from another supplier. At this point in time I am not paying the monthly fee, as I have not received a favourable answer nor a working laptop (since inception of the contract) from you. Your response is outstanding for 7 days already.

I am so disheartened about MTN's treatment of myself - why have you not responded - this just proves that there is something wrong with the way you treat your customers. Kindly get back to me regarding my above request. I have a totally useless laptop, which surely you cannot expect me to pay for. I want the contract cancelled and the machine collected. I cannot trust you, I don't like dealing with you as a company. After all the years of being loyal customer, and now you are not interested in my issues.
