MTN- No sense of urgency- poor customer service

MTN South Africa has no proper security to protect their customers and has no sense of emergency when it comes to ***** issues. I was recently hacked and the hackers did a sim swap on my number overnight and hacked into my WhatsApp asking people for money. Upon reporting the issue at the MTN store in Golden Acre, CPT, I was told I needed a certified copy of my ID and affidavit, which I got timeously and returned for a blocking and sim swap. I was told to wait 2-24 hours for the sim swap to be effected, despite my reporting the issue as an emergency, I waited 24 hours and still nothing was done. I called Customer service on 135 and the consultants kept referring me from one department to the other without any proper help and finally when I called the 5th time, a guy told me to wait for the supervisor to approve the swap request on Monday. Today is the Monday in question and upon my calling them, I was told to go to the store instead, at the store, they told me to call customer service coz the matter is out of their hands. I kept on calling and calling, ans finally the issue has been fixed after 4 days of having reported this issue as an emergency. What puzzles me is how easy the hacker got the sim swap, yet I had to wait for 4 full days for mine to be effected. I don't know if there are I side people at MTN that engage in *****ulent behavior, but the customer service is bad when it comes to ***** and emergency issues.

I have been a customer for more than 10 years, and I am finally leaving MTN because of this. The 1 star rating is because I couldn't go below 1.
