MTN no coverage after storm, 18 days later still unresolved!
Since 1 March after a storm in our area we lost all MTN signal. We notified MTN that same day about the fault. We reside in an agricultural area, Rispark, and have communicated with neighbors on our community forum group and they are all experiencing the same issue with MTN.
We have been religiously calling MTN every day for the last 18 days to get this resolved, with no joy. Yesterday we got told that they are aware that the tower in Rispark has been out for some time but they don't know if the tower will be fixed again as they cant find the fault thus planning to decommission the tower. Many of us work from home so wi-fi is essential to the survival of our business.
I would say that 90% of people residing in the Rispark area have contracts with MTN because MTN is (or was) the only network provider that had coverage in our area so we don't even have the option of changing providers. I know that alone, on the plot where I reside there are 11 active MTN customer contracts that now mean nothing. MTN is just lifting their shoulders and saying they don't know what's going to happen.
Our area is also not one of the safest neighborhoods to stay in and now we are not even able to call for help or medical assistance should something happen.
We have no idea how to get this resolved, we have been sent from pillar to post and back again, MTN!!! DO BETTER AND FIX THIS.
If I could give a zero star rating I would!
