MTN new message center reading out phone numbers

For some months, MTN has insisted on relating the number from which my messages originate. I am sure none of the MTN customers sit with a pen taking down numbers in case they might need them and neither does anyone remember anyone else’s number any more. So, what is the point of the slow reading of every single number? I called the call Centre and asked if they could take it off as it wastes my time and I have stopped listening to messages as a result. They told me it is not an option to not be slowly read the number. As we are paying for the call, I resent having to listen to a number. MTN we are not fooled - you are prolonging the message for your own purposes but you will end up with no message center as no one wants to waste their time with this.

This inane response is exactly what I got from your call center and exactly what I expect from MTN and in fact from all call centers. The complete lack of interaction between companies and their customers because of call centers ensuring that nothing gets to management is appalling. Nothing gets done about anything. Call centers don’t answer the phone and when they do, there is no escalation as agents don’t give a damn. Escalate my complaint - it is valid and reflects a large number of your customers.
