MTN - Never see me again!

I had a MTN Contract for 36 months. After the 36 months has passed, the debit order still went off at the end of the 37th Month (I understand now that It's the account holder's own responsibility to cancel the contract in the last Month) However.. I called the MTN store to cancel my account, and told them that I'm going the cancel the future debit orders. After a year, my account has been handed over to SSDA, which is an External Debt Collector for MTN.

SSDA contacted me, with an outstanding amount due to be paid, and I received banking details to be used when making payment. I tried to make the payment, with no success due to an "Incorrect Reference number". I went to an MTN store, but was very quickly corrected that I'm not able to make any payment with them, as my account doesn't exist with them anymore. I tried to explain the situation, but the MTN employee didn't even let me finish my sentence.

After this discussion, I contacted SSDA, and explained them the situation. They said that I'm not the only one complaining about being unable to make a payment, and said that I need to go back to MTN with the Reference number that SSDA texted me, make the payment, and email the proof through to SSDA.

Again, with no surprise, MTN treated me like a foreigner, without spending 2 seconds to listen to my problem.

SSDA to date, were also unable to assist with the payment, BUT I still very conveniently receive my increased Amount Due each Month on Text.

What more can I do as an Individual, to pay MTN what I owed them, if I'm unable to make a payment to TWO companies??

At this stage, MTN can take this case to court for all I care. I've got more than enough proof to defend myself. R1800, which started at R900 when I raised my complain, still no feedback.

MTN will NEVER see me again, and I'll spread the word of Extremely bad service to everyone around me.
