MTN - Never again!
I had an MTN pay-as-you-go not too long ago. I had lots of problems with that.
My wife asked for a contract a while ago and proposed an MTN contract. I told her of my previous encounters, but she convinced me that she believes things will be better.
My wife passed away recently, and I tried to stop (buy-out) the contract by phoning 135. I hold the line, listening to the tune for 45 minutes and then hung up. I mean, life goes on and this is totally unacceptable in this day and age.
Then I decided to go to the nearest MTN store to ask for help. Walking in, I recognised the tune in the shop.
After explaining to the friendly lady, she smiled and showed me their counter.
There were 3 phones, all on hold for more than an hour already, to be helped.
She explained to me that they also must dial 135 for help, with sometimes no response.
This is the 22nd century and MTN is in the communication and technology industry. It is pathetic that their customer service and systems are functioning at this ancient level.
My number *** - should somebody at MTN take the effort to help me.
