MTN - My Tragic Notwork (ref ***)

Dear MTN. I have spoken to and mailed numerous people in you company, and filled in numerous online forms, to bring under your attention the dwindling data coverage in my area (Brackenhurst, Alberton). I have meticulously listed the various phones that experience the same issue (1xSamsung Galaxy S7; 1xSamsung Galaxy A3; and every other MTN user who visits me); I also sent the GPS coordinates - and just about every detail you could possibly need to address the problem.

On 26 January 2017, I got an email response from Phumi Sijako, saying that a coverage coordinator will be contacting me "in the next 10 days". Today is the 8th of March and I'm still waiting for said coordinator to phone me (perhaps they are also experiencing MTN coverage issues). Or perhaps I misunderstood - maybe she meant in 10 Saturdays from now...who knows?

Since end-November/beginning-December 2016, our data coverage has declined to a level reminiscent of the dark ages. Even WhatsApp text messages fail constantly, nevermind images, sound clips, etc. I have one of the best smartphones available (GS7), but your poxy network renders it useless when I am at home.

I can fully appreciate that technology sometimes fails, and technical issues arise. What IS unacceptable however, is the nonchalant manner in which I am simply being ignored. Unfortunately I have to endure this for another year, but come next year, when I have to decide to renew or rescind, I will certainly remember this unprofessional, *********** treatment, and opt for a network that actually works, and understands the concept of professionalism.

If you want to make my final 13-14 months with MTN bearable, please sort out the coverage issue. If not, feel free to continue wallowing in your incompetence.

Note: I understand that the sarcasm app**** in this review may not fall in everyone's taste, but good old politeness and patience, as my initial approach, have so far not yielded any results whatsoever.

Hey Mike. As I have heard NOTHING from you or anyone at MyTragicNotwork, I can only assume your mtn phone is having network trouble. Or maybe you really don't give a dog's backside. But with 12 months down, and only 12 to go, I am counting the days to my freedom from your useless, unprofessional, ***********, apathetic, alleged service....and I use the word "service" quite wrongly. I WILL NOT RENEW WITH MTN NEXT YEAR when this so-called contract expires.
