Mtn must fall

I had a contract with mtn. I was due for an upgrade but I did not want to upgrade as I alreay had a new contract at another network provider. I went to the store at Hemingways Mall, East London, to query how to go about cancelling my contract. The gentleman that assisted me then sent an email to head office to get the amount that I would need to pay in to cancel and said he will call me back to let me know once he received a response. I got a call later that day with the amount and the banking details. I immediately went to make an EFT payment. There was no more debit order at the end of the month so I assumed the contract was cancelled. This was October 2016. But at the end of April 2017 there was a debit order from MTN..6 months after my contract was cancelled. When I went back to the Hemingways store the lady that assisted me emailed head office requesting cancellation and also told me to phone the customer care and request a cancellation. I phoned and the lady told me that there was a debit order because the contract was not cancelled and that I got billed because I still received the airtime and data. But after that my number was switched to Pay As You Go. When I phoned again to follow up the lady told me that there is a refund being processed.. this was 2 months ago. I keep phoning asking for my refund and I get told its being processed. I was given a reference number so that when I call I just give the call centre agent my reference number ( ********** 99) but even when I give them my reference number I still end up having to explain the whole situation to the person on the phone. How much longer do I have to wait to get my money back? This is so frustrating!
