MTN - MTN Insurance - Admyntec - Worldwide Advisory Services - Santam - ******** processing of information and disregard to their clients

It is very sad when you have been a long standing customer of MTN for approximately 24 years that they are unable to assist with any problem you may encounter with MTN Insurance - which you obtain through MTN - but is administered by Admyntec Services a representative of World Wide Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd, underwritten by Santam. Your insurance claim is denied on the alleged basis that your MTN sim was not in the device that was ****** as per MTN Insurance, Admyntec (and by association Worldwide Advisory Services and Santam) records. Despite the fact that these companies have clearly contravened the POPI Act in failing to ensure the accuracy and correctness of my personal information and is processing same contrary to the conditions for lawful processing of my personal information as permitted in terms of POPI, one would assume that the records they have were obtained from MTN. But the funny thing is they - MTN Insurance, Admyntec, Worldwide Advisory Services and Santam, although clearly associated with MTN as they provide the insurance, cannot access or contact MTN Group to request that the information be updated and corrected as per the proof that I have sent through to them. Once more acting in contravention of POPIA. All attempts at assistance have proved futile. Empty promises that the matter will be escalated or that a manager will contact you are repeated over and over. They have been completely *********** and I have merely been put on hold (to eventually be cut off) or transferred from one department to the next, each alleging that they cannot assist, their hands are tied. Their hands are tied but MTN, MTN Insurance, Admyntec, Worldwide Advisory Services and Santam are all parties, very dedicated to ensure that your monthly premium for MTN insurance goes through. No worries, they are clearly not too concerned with this as I advised them I would be doing this, but the this matter will be taken further and complaints will be lodged with the relevant regulatory bodies including but not necessarily limited too the Information Regulator, OSTI, FAIS Ombud and Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and if necessary legal action will be instituted. So learn from my dilemma, you are merely a number to these companies (irrespective of the loyalty you have shown to them as a long standing client and customer) and they really are only concerned with taking your monthly premiums and not willing to assist you with any objections you may raise against their decisions. Lastly but most importantly keep in mind that they clearly process your personal information without complying with the lawful conditions for processing of personal information as clearly set out and provided in POPIA.
