MTN MOTTO: Money 1st Customer be ****ed

Hi There,

I upgraded my mobile on the 10th March 2016, on Friday the 27/5/2016 my phone would not switch on. I am a field IT technician, what this entails is me driving from site to site as my clients call me when something has gone wrong. I then took my phone to the store where the upgrade was done at, they then advised that my phone needs to be booked for repairs, which I did. I was then advised that the repair process can take up to 21 working days to get fixed. I called the CS line to query what my options are as I need a mobile device for work as well as personal use. They then advised that I need to go to the store and that they would need to give me a loan phone in the interim. This was advised to me by 4 different advisors. I then went to thye store only to be told that they are a franchise and that they do not supply loan phones. I then called the CS line again yesterday and spoke to Leratho who then passed the call to her manager, not that I requested a manager but she offered that I speak to her superior, Promise, because it seemed like ske could no longer handle my query and did not have the answeres to what I was asking. I advised that I am not a happy customer as this is the 3rd phone that I purchased through MTN in the past 2 years 2 of which have broken within the first 6 months having it. I have 2 mobile contracts with them. At no point through my journey with them over the past 4 days has any 1 of their representatives even said sorry for the incorrect info provided to me nor the experience I have received thus far, not even by the "Superior," Promise. I told them that I pay a monthly line rental cost that includes my allowances as well as a mobile phone. When you cannot deliver on this service then why do I need to keep up my end of the contract and still pay for something that is not in my possession. Why do I need to pay a full amount for a month and not have a phone. The purpose of taking a contract is to get a phone, the benefit of a contact is the allowance, but ultimately it is the phone that is needed. If I wanted an allowance without a phone I would take a SIM only contract and pay a fraction of the cost. Further to this, Promise was suppose to call me back today with a solution to my problem or to get her operations manager to contact me today as that is what she advised me. I am so disgusted with the service that i have received thus far that I no longer wish to be a customer of MTN. Is this how they train their staff? is this what they call customer service?
