MTN - Most useless and *********** network to date !!!

Most useless and *********** network to date !!!

I took out a cellphone contract with MTN in 2018,all was well until the contract ended and i wanted to close the account of which i was told in the store that only their retentions department is able to assist and i would have to call in - They have never answered a single phone call to date. MTN started charging me at the time R70 p/m to keep the line open, canceled my subscription BUT still CHARGED me 'out of bundle usage' ? which eventually ran the bill up to R4009 + affecting my credit profile and leaving a bad mark on my name - fast forward 2024 i decide to settle the account as the useless service provider was incapable of sorting out the issue. Feb 2024 I'm given the run around to get a settlement letter as their legal department does not have landlines nor a contact number and i am therefore expected to send an email (I did and still no response from legal dept. ) i eventually spoke to a lady (Shorleen Setoboli ) in the credit control dept that was able to assist in sending an email stating the settlement amount as a settlement letter. I settled this account on the 29th Feb 2024 and sent POP accordingly. it is the 8th May 2024 the account still stands as unsettled and in arears on ITC ? Pathetic, yet i have MTN calling me almost daily to offer me a new contract ? id rather swim the ocean!!!

i sent an email through to the legal dept AGAIN on the 2nd and got an automated response with a ref number Reference number: 5b2c6f3e-1***-84b0-a4b64e068d07 stating i will get a response back within 24hrs, it has been 5 days and shockingly still no response - Typical.

I will NEVER recommend MTN, I will NEVER utilise their service ever again. PATHETHIC is an understatement to say the least!!!

My credit status still not updated on ITC but MTN sits with my money, due to their negligence ? I will be taking this matter as far as I possibly can.
