MTN : Missing in Action. Avoiding the customer.
I was due for a contract upgrade with a new device and Thuthukani Mabizela from MTN Business was supposed to assist me. I requested a silver Iphone 14 Pro and he told me that he has one in stock. I’ve sent through the necessary documentation only to be told the next day that he doesn’t have a silver phone. I’ve decided to rather do the upgrade through a local branch in Port Elizabeth with whom I’ve dealt with in the past - as they had stock available. I’ve emailed my decision to Thuthukani that I will rather do the deal locally. I’ve also tried to phone him and I’ve also sent him a whatsapp-message. He has however been ignoring all my communication. He also refused to cancel the upgrade when the MTN Cape Road branch contacted him.
I’ve tried to sort this issue out with MTN Business Johannesburg to no avail. The phones either just ring or they cut you off.
I need MTN to cancel my upgrade with Thuthukani as I am not willing to do business with a sales person who avoids all forms of communication as soon as they get what they want. It doesn’t work like this. The customer can decide for themselves who they want to deal with.
If this is not rectified, I will move my business from MTN to another competitor. I have been dealing with MTN for the past 9 years and this is the worst I’ve ever came across. I am not satisfied with this issue.
