MTN misguiding business practices?

I'm concerned that a person can log on the MTN website and complete an online form as an intention to take out a cell phone contract. You are then contacted by a company and they inform you that the package you were interested in is old out, that an alternative package is available but for a longer duration (36 months) with more data but no free ear plugs. All in the while you are led to believe the company is either MTN themselves or are acting on behalf of MTN as even their email (***) suggests

Would this not be considered misguiding business practice? Does MTN earn a "leads" fees for these referrals? Is this an MTN company (Mondo) and is this not misleading advertising or business practices?

Thank You,
