MTN MALFUNCTION - Overcharging a TOP-UP ACCOUNT

<p>Good day,</p> <p>I am really dissatisfied with the service that has been given to me by MTN regarding my billing information. I have three top-up contracts, and had previously had contract that where my usage limit was about R 3500. So, I decided to terminate it and go with the former (top-up). But recently MTN continued to overcharge me by keeping my usage limit open(not barring the number as stated on my contract). I am really upset, because during this period nobody informed me of such activity (not via sms or email, or even a call). My Invoice which is suppose to be R 200 for two numbers, and R 729.49 for the other number is suddenly in excess of R 3000 because apparently one number has been exceeding its usage (i don't understand because its top-up). I cannot let MTN deduct the amount from my account because no information or warning, or stipulation giving them the right to do it has ever reached me. I need to have this sorted out asap, otherwise i will have to cancel my contract and take the network to the ombudsman, or have my lawyers contact the service for having breached their agreement, its a culpable malfunction and a really frustrating limitation to system MTN has employed, because i have never experienced this before (check historical activity and invoices). The contact center had me hold the line for approximately 45 minutes without any resolution. I fear that i have to change my network if this persist, because it not something I should be worried about every month.</p>
