MTN making us pay for their Nigeria fine

MTN debited my account by R890.68 more than what my monthly installment. My question is how can a fixed term / amount contract have fluctuations in installments? I have a capped airtime and data limit hence how is it possible that I was debited more? This is a straight ripoff.

I want my money back.

Good afternoon Tovhowani

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience experienced.

We are sorry to have disappointed you with our service and would like to assure you that it is certainly not our intention to dissatisfy our clients.

As per my investigations on our systems I have noted that you have been billed correctly. Please be advised on your September invoice you have been charged R877.42 for the out of bundle data usage.

It would be advisable to ensure that your cellular data is switched off when not in use. Smartphones in general have many applications that requires the use of internet to be functional. There could also be a situation of updates on application software that could deplete your data bundle and airtime.

Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us on 808 or *** from other networks.

We understand that the entire experience must have been very frustrating, it is not our intention to displease you. We do look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards

Yahya
