MTN LTE performance worsening by the day.
Seeing that I stay in an area where Telkom does not exist for me to get ADSL I had no other option than to go with the insanely expensive option of South African LTE. ( Connection mainly used for online gaming and Netflix)
I got a contract that was on promotion with MTN for 40gb day and 40gb night LTE.
For about the first 5 months of the contract I only received 20gb day and 20gb night, after NUMEROUS calls they finally fixed this (about 10 calls and 5 months later).
My problem now is that my LTE stability went down and renders it almost impossible to use for gaming (700ms) ping to EU servers.
My download speed is attrocious at 120kb/s with very random spikes to 2mb/s. (I expect at least 8mb/s + for the LTE that I am paying for)
So I am asking myself the question, why am I paying this massive amount of money for an LTE connection that ran beautifully for the first couple of months and now it is worse than 3g?
I phoned them and they couldn't tell me were they working on the antenna close to me or what...
This issue is definitely worse at night (18:00 - 23:00) , now I know this could be due to congestion on the antenna but why only now?
Its very saddening to see the internet services that other countries receive while we are being ****** in SA.
