MTN loses phone

Booked my cell (under contract with MTN) in April 2017 for repairs at the Newcastle Mall KZN branch. # ********** 7

Followed up on the 2nd and 4th week respectively with the branch…they advised still awaiting phone from Johannesburg repair centre.

Upon follow up on 6th week with MTN customer care, my phone could not be located by MTN!

After I had to visit the Newcastle branch to enquire further, it was found that the cell phone had not even left the Newcastle branch for repairs. Was informed that it was found in a safe and would be sent for repairs immediately.

Upon me following up again yesterday (3rd July 2017), it now seems MTN has swapped my phone with other and sent the incorrect phone for repairs!

Today, 4th July 2017 MTN has apparently found my phone today and sending to Midrand for repairs.

It’s going for 3 months now, paying a monthly contract fee with no device.

After such an unacceptable long period and shockingly poor service, MTN need to provide me with a new device and reimburse my past 3 months’ contract fee.

Furthermore, the non-existence of any proactive courtesy follow-up from MTN is appalling.

I have been with MTN for 20 years.

Unsatisfied MTN Customer.
