MTN Line suspended

It all started in July when I realised that my headset has

been suspended. I called in to find out why and a consultant

by the name of Jayshree informed me that there's an

outstanding amount and I told her that I've never skipped

any payment. Only to realise that I made a mistake with

the reference number when I made that payment. The consultant gave me the email address to forward the proof of payment ********** Ref: ********** 48. The headset was never resumed, I called again and spoke to Portia who managed to resume the account with the ref: ********** 06.

On the 22/09/2016 I had the same issue where they suspended my headset AGAIN because of the same payment for June, I decided to write them an email informing them that there was a finger error on the

reference number hence they can’t "trace" that payment.

The funny thing is that when making a payment the following

information is required, i.e. Account number, Ref number, Cell number, Name, Surname and my Id Number but they still couldn’t trace that payment..........WOW

They responded to my email on the 27/09/2016, I quote "Kindly be advised that we pick on our system that reversal of soft lock has been made meaning that your phone has been unsuspended.....Kind regards Matshidiso Chaba, Customer Service"

Our arrangement is that I make payment last day of the month, and now what they do they suspend the phone after the 26th and sends me an sms stating that, I quote "Your account is overdue. Please pay R235.16 in at ABSA Bank account nr......."

and the next day "Yello, your outgoing call facility has been

suspended. Please pay R232.16 immediately at ABSA Bank".

Please note that whenever I call MTN is because the line has been suspended.

On the 21 January 2017 I called Mtn on 808 number and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Phindile Mthombeni. I started from the beginning telling him what’s been happening, he gave me his email address and the Proof of payment was sent AGAIN. He responded via Email telling me that....I quote “What I’ve picked up on the system, the wrong account number was used however I have re-activated your line and forwarded this to my superiors for escalations”. Yes the account was resumed and on the very same day I forwarded the document to ********** and they rep**** on the 25 January 2017 saying “Thank you for submitting your payment. Your payment will be allocated and the account will be updated.” Kind Regards Latasha Petersen . They also send an email on the same day saying, “Thank you for submitting your query through this medium of correspondence. Your reference number for the query is ********** 4. Please keep the number so that we can assist in tracking the query. We will respond to your query WITHIN 8 working days”.

Guess What? The thing I heard from them after 2 weeks was “Your account is overdue. Please pay R308.18 in an ABSA Bank account to avoid suspension in 2 days”. The amount has now changed from R231.17 to R308.18 and my line is suspended.

This is very very inconveniencing. You walk into any MTN store, those people are clueless and the only thing they can tell you is that "Bring your proof of payment" Even when you tell them that you've already send it through and give them a reference number, they still can’t resolve the issue.

Mtn sucks big time, I wonder if PF Nhleko knows that.

I want this matter to be resolved ASAP before I go to 14 Avenue Constantia Kloof.

I’m done calling the call centre number and repeating myself like a damaged CD.

Very unhappy
