MTN lies to their customers
I'm utterly disgusted with the service from MTN yet again. I have been a customer for over 15 years. At point of sale MTN is great but once you have taken out the contract there customer service is atrocious. I have upgraded my contract and it seems everytime I do this there is an after sale issue. They blatantly **** and said they had sent a request through to the courier. When I called the courier to confirm if the package was being delivered to, I was told that MTN has not approved the manual delivery. I then called back and spoke to Anganathi Godloza who ask me what she must do. I explained what the courier advised me needs to be done and then after a long time holding on she told me she has escalated the request to MTN and it will take up to 3 working days. I was under the impression if you call MTN customer care, that you are calling MTN. I then decided that after my previous issue with my upgrade last year where MTN refused to honor the deal they advertised, that it was better to cancel my contract. Vodacom has the same device for the same price and better reviews. I asked for my contract to be cancelled and was told that I have to dial a other number to do so and she can't put me through because she is working from home. I also asked about my next bill as I was given 3 seperated amounts of what I will be billed next month. I was told because I haven't recieved my phone yet the contract cannot be seen on MTNs system ..even though my contract is an upgrade with MTN. I was told that accounts cannot see the invoice even though I have received the invoices and was advised by the sales agent of different amounts including a pro rata amount. I then called back yet again and advised the agent that I would like to be put through to cancellations because I want nothing to do with MTN anymore ..and miraculously this agent managed to put my through to cancellations.
