MTN LIES

I have been with MTN for over a decade and never missed a payment. I recieved a call in January saying that I am such a loyal customer and they want to say thank you for never missing a payment and I had also just upgraded. The big reward for being such a loyal customer was a laptop, a stationary voucher and an extra 20gigs. All this and not only will I not pay more but my monthly installment will be reduced and no second contract will be given. I confirmed with the operator over and over again during the call and was assured that no second contact, no extra money will be deducted and that my payment would be reduced. I recieved the laptop but not the voucher. I did however receive another sim card with a new contract and a monthly installment that had now doubled. After jumping to many hoops and speaking to many advisors I was told they had listened to the call in question and that I was in fact mislead. I now must cancel this new contract, fine, but I habe been told to return the laptop. I am really not happy. I am told there will be no cancelation fees or any money owed but that remains to be seen as so much false information has been given. I dont think I will be renewing when it comes time to upgrade.
