MTN LEGAL - HAMMOND POLE BULLIES

I took out my first cell phone contract in 2007 with MTN. I've always been a faithful and loyal customer paying my account without fail. April 2018 I found myself in unforeseen financial difficulty, which left me in a possession where I could barely afford living costs let alone debt. I did inform MTN and tried to make minimum payments while my account was suspended. Eventually MTN handed the account over to their legal department. Their legal department in turn handed the account over to a third party Hammond Pole Attorneys June 2018. At that point my number was completely deactivated from the MTN network, incoming calls included. I received relentless calls from Simone Renze at Hammond Pole threatening a judgment order on my salary if I don't pay the minimum of R1500 per month. I did not have that, but harassing calls day in and out and letters from Simone Renze, stating I owe MTN R25,000.000 scared me and I signed a debit order agreement for such an amount. I requested numerous times telephonically and email from Hammond Pole a statement and breakdown of this debt. None of my correspondence answered. I then turned to MTN with phone call after the other just to be told the account is with the legal department, the matter will be escalated. Month in and out I waited on MTN legal without any answer. I then app**** for credit at a bank, only to find out that I'm listed for a R13,500 monthly instalment to MTN. which meant that no credit can be granted due to affordability assessments. I got the proof from the bank and approached Simone Renze at Hammond Pole a couple times. No answers. I referred the matter again to MTN, only to be met by the same answer that MTN Legal will advise. I'm in this prison, my money gets taken every month and still I don't really know what am I paying for and how long will this carry on. I've subsequently subscribed to the credit bureau and pull a report every month. The Instalment due to MTN is growing by the month and the Bureau information does not get updated at all.

MTN and Hammond Pole is taking money, yet I'm exactly where I was last year this time.
