MTN Legal Dept Non-Existant

<p>On Monday I tried to get a personal loan from my bank. They informed me that I had an account with MTN and it has been handed over to debt collectors. I've never had an account with MTN. I'm a victim of identity theft. I have tried fruitlessly since Monday after sending evidence through to MTN proving who I am, to get my name cleared with both the credit buros. I need a letter stating these details so that I can continue with my life. My exemplary credit rating is non-existent. I am the victim here and MTN will not claim responibility for their wrong doing. How can you MTN open an account and not freeze the transactions after the first instalment has not been paid? Let the account run up an exorbitant amount of money since March last year? Do you not check proof of address? I have incurred costs just trying to clear my name no one at MTN is willing to help me. MTN is a huge communication company. How is it that no one can communicate telephonically with legal dept????? Only via e-mail?? WHY? I feel violated. I am angry. Disappointed with the service. This needs to be sorted out ASAP. I will not recommend MTN to anyone. As a matter of fact I will openly berate and spread the word about my bad exprience. </p>
