MTN Lawsuit pending for theft and POPIA contravention

For the last year, i have been trying to cancel, what is supposed to be a prepaid sim card. MTN takes R150 from my account every month. Since last year i have phoned multiple times. Today i was told by a MTN rep, that on her side it looks like prepaid. She can see that they are taking money from my account, but cannot tell me why. They wont cancel something i do not have. I do not own this sim card for a year now, as i cancelled it when my phone was fully paid. I cancelled both contracts. At this point, without my concent, they changed it to pre paid, but still charge me every month as if it is a contract. I was told that they will keep deducting this money even tho it show as prepaid with them, and not contract. Ive been told there is nothing they can do. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!

Then on my actual account contract i actually have. This was renewed last month. I was contacted by a Durban call center who **** and said they are MTN and not working on behalf of MTN. They send me the new contract, and i noticed they opted me in for every singel 3rd party sales calls. Since then the sales calls have not stopped. Some calling me after 22:00 at night. I confronted MTN about this and was told that there is nothing they can do. So now after a year, am left with no choice but to open a lawsuit against MTN for theft , and contravention of the POPIA act. As they gave consent on my behalf for private info to be handed to 3rd party sales and call centers. This is absolutely *******, and MTN does not care, as i was told that it is done now and i need to just live with it. This is absolutely unacceptable. And as MTN has no interest in resolving these issues, and told me that i need to keep paying for something i do not own or use, and just suck it up and deal with all these sales calls all hours off the day and evening. I will be opening a ******** case against MTN this week, pending my lawyers advice.
