MTN - Lack of integrity

Triple debited my account on the first payment run. Contacted MTN directly via the call centre AND went directly into the store responsible for the contract. MTN has said that the error was resolved and it was an accounting error, yet, after paying the outstanding invoice amounts, MTN has suspended the service on my account. This is after a consultant had told me directly that my service would not be suspended.

MTN ARE *******, plain and simple (This is not the first time I have heard of MTN overbilling). Perhaps if MTN Group followed the correct business and accounting practices they would not be faced with massive fines for their apparent lack of integrity.

If you ask me, every person that has an issue with MTN should invoice MTN Group directly for damages incurred. If we all did this, they would be inundated (I am aware that they would not pay but it is the principal of the matter).

Good day Nicholas,

Kindly note that our billing department has confirmed that the amount you were overcharged for was credited into your MTN SP account.

Please note that for the first month you were billed a prorata + normal instalment.

There’s currently an outstanding balance of R474.06 on the account.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Warm Regards,

Zanele Mazibuko
