MTN knows nothing about customer service/accounts

Where do I even begin?! It's been over a year now and every few months I have the same issue - being billed twice or getting SMSes threatening the suspension of my account despite it being up to date.
Despite being an up to date contract customer, I am on hold for about 20 mins per call just to get through! Mind you, agents and supervisors keep telling me they can't call out (ironic since some supervisors actually do call me back) so I end up calling 3 - 4 times a day, repeat myself to a new person who gives me an entire new story. One says everything is fine, the next says I need to pay double to rectify (which I've done twice now) and the next just reads a script over and over! My statements also do not reflect an amount I paid in cash to an MTN staff member who said their services were offline!
Here's the problem:
I've paid my account double twice now yet I still receive SMSes saying my account is in arrears and threatening suspension. One agent says this is because I choose to pay it in cash monthly instead of a debit order. This has been over a year now and I'm frustrated, upset & incur charges exceeding what I 'owe' just to speak to MTN!!! Can't wait for contract to end!

Hello msorayam,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

On the system it shows that you owe R508.00 which is overdue from the invoice that closed in 13/03/2016 and you owe R509.00 from the invoice that closed in 13/04/2016. Because you are a cash paying customer you have 21 days to pay your invoice after it has closed.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards
Thabelo
