MTN keeps on cutting my service
I am contract customer with MTN for more than 10 years now. Every time when I'm due for an upgrade, I received a call from MTN reminding of that and promoting some new services/products. I last took a phone in 2012. I was always buying the other service like airtime, data etc.
On 25 March 2021, I decided to take another phone after I was ****** the one I was using since from 2012.
When I got to the shop (Kempton Park Festival Mall), Sisipho told me that since my sim card is still on contract, they will have to give me another sim card which is called "additional". My new phone will be registered under that account. The agreement as per the contract I signed regarding payment will be a debit order on the 30th of each month for 24 months.
The first debit order as per the contract was supposed to go through on 2019/01/31 which make sense why MTN never made any deduction from my bank account since I bought the phones on 25 March 2021.
My network was cut of mid June 2021. I phoned MTN customer line and was told by Nomthandazo that my service was stopped because I am not making any payments. I explained to her that the line you stopped is the one I am paying cash monthly for DATA, for the new phones MTN is not deducting and it's not my fault.
MTN opened my line.
After the call, I received a message saying that I promised to make a payment which I did not. I only asked Nomthandazo to fix the billing on their system because I am paying for my DATA every month(cash).
Again, my line is cut off yesterday 30 June 2021.
I want my line back or terminate my contract at your cost because I am paying for this account monthly and the contract will end on 31 January 2022.
NB: accept that you gave me the new phones free of charge and clear my name because 2019 is long passed to start making those decisions.
Deduction, not decision

They don't follow the agreement written on the contract and make you suffer by closing your line. That is why they are calling themselves Boza Nertwork.
