MTN keeps contract active even when cancelled after end term

I'm really not happy with MTN I don't understand whether they are trying to **** people or what .cancelling a contract shouldn't be a drag especially if its term is finished.My contract term for the other phone ended on the 15th of August ...I Called on the 7th and spoke to Ayanda and I was transferred to the cancellation team and I did cancelled the contract over the phone.I was told end of August will be the last debit order.To my surprise end of September they debited again I called and I was told it was the last debit order again.Yesterday I received data I called and I was told my number is still active under contract.Since the calls are recorded for quality purposes go through them and conclude please I can't keep paying for something I cancelled. I want my money back it's not my fault
