MTN just ignores
I upgraded my MTN contract on 12 Oct 2017. I received my MTN bill on 24 Oct 2017 which indicated MTN had added a 100gig recurring data per month with my total bill being R4668. I immediately phoned MTN and logged a complaint. I also went into the MTN store at the Pavilion Durban where I requested MTN staff member Emanuel Reddy to query the account as I had not requested this data bundle. Emanuel indicated that this was a technical glitch and indicated that he would speak to the billing department and get the charges reversed. I also indicated to him that the request be processed before any money is taken from my account. Despite logging the complaint with MTN call centre and the store the full amount of R4668 was debited from my account. I logged a further 3 calls with MTN and even spoke to manager Kgomotso Mpshe who indicated that he would mark call as urgent and send to billing...he was to advise me via email if the request was processed but to date I have received no response from him. I even went into the MTN Pavilion store and again spoke to Emanuel and the store owner Suvan Maharaj who indicated that he would also try and resolve this issue. Despite sending numerous emails to Kgomotso, Emanuel and Suvan, no response has been received. Emanuel and Suvan also ignore my phone calls. This is really pathetic service. All I require is for the data charges to be reversed. I did not request the recurring data bundle which MTN and the store agree so how difficult can it be to resolve a simply billing error. The MTN store doesn't care as long as they have the money
