MTN ISURANCE - UNHAPPY CLIENT

I've been having problems with my phone for a while now (it randomly reboots after every 2-5 minutes) and since I've being insured with MTN Insurance I decide to submit a claim form on May 11.

I have since found out, that when I renewed my contract in December 2018 at the MTN store at the Mall of the South the device I currently have was not updated on my insurance policy.

Subsequent to this MTN Insurance have requested I send through a contract summary. Having relocated to Kimberley from Johannesburg at the beginning of this year I could not go to the MTN store I took out my contract at, so I went to the MTN store in Kimberley for a copy of the summary. There I was informed that the copy of the summary could only be obtained at the store I took out the contract at.

I have since tried calling MTN at the Mall of the South without success. I called MTN Insurance on numerous occassions as well as MTN Customer Care and none of them were able to assist me. Always giving me contradictory statements - some saying I can get a copy at any MTN store and others saying I can only get it at the store I took the contract out at.

Two weeks ago I finally managed to get hold of a gentleman at the MTN store at the Mall of the South, unfortunately it was the other MTN store (there are two at this mall) he did however take my details and said he would get the copy of the contract from them and email it to me the next day. But in true MTN customer service fashion I've never heard from him again and you can never get through on their number ***).

I have to pay for my contract and insurance with MTN every month, yet their service has been nothing but AWFUL.
