😡😡😡MTN is tricking people into unknown contracts now.!!!

I app**** for an MTN cellphone contract online. Shortly after I received a call from an MTN agent telling me that I qualify for the cellphone contract and we can continue with the application process for the cellphone device of my liking. I told her which device I was interested in and she told me it was perfect and "congratulations everything is in order" but because I'm not an mtn user I should give her an mtn registered phone number in the meantime to "hold data while I wait for the cellphone to be delivered". I gave her my mother's mtn registered cellphone number and the said data was loaded a few minutes later. She then told me that DSV the courier company should be in contact with me with regards to the delivery of the cellphone and I should anticipate their call. Days went by I never received a call. I DM mtn on social media platforms to ask how long delivery usually takes and they say around 2 weeks. Two weeks goes by still no delivery. A month goes by and I start calling customer care to make an enquiry about the cellphone and its delivery. To my shock customer care tells me that I do not have a cellphone contract instead I have a sim contract. So to sum this whole mess up, No cellphone or sim card was ever delivered. The agent who is allegedly named Moabi_K was probably chasing sales and opened up a sim contract but **** to me and said it was a cellphone contract 😡 when I try to cancel this sim contract I'm now told I should pay a cancelation fee of R450 for 18 gigs of data that I did not even use nor even sign up for!!!????. MTN agents are a bunch of ********s who **** and ruin people's credit.
