MTN IS THE MOST DISGUSTING SERVICE COMPANY AND *****S MONEY FROM CLIENTS

I am totally disgusted with MTN and their service. I have had 4 contracts with them, and each time I have had to cancel one contract they try and do you in for more money, as well as their service representatives do not know what they are doing. Recently I had one contract that expired on 11/11/2022 and on 27th October 2022 I called MTN to advise them that I will be cancelling this contract. The representative advised me that he/she can put a note on the account and set it to cancel on this date and a consultant would call me just before to confirm. I told her that I do not want to pay an early cancellation fee and she advised me that I would not. On 10/11/2022 I called the MTN Retentions after holding on for nearly 15 to 25 minutes for them to answer, and explained the position. I was told that should they send me an account with an early cancellation fee I must send in to escalate. On 11/11/2022 I got an sms to confirm that my number was put to prepaid and that the account was therefore not active. I called MTN and spoke to them to ensure that no fees were charged. I even spoke to a Retention Manager, Riley who promised to call me back as there were supposedly 2 Nadine's working there but GUESS WHAT HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I called again and to date noone has bothered to sort this out. I got an sms from their Collections department and they eventually called me, and explained the situation and they told me that they have sent a note to the Customer care to sort this out. Today 19 December 2022, they cut my phone off for the non payment. IT IS DISGUSTING THAT THEY FORCED ME TO PAY AN AMOUNT THAT IS NOT DUE TO THEM just so I can have a phone as I use it for personal but also for BUSINESS. I am definitely taking this up with the OMBUDSMAN, CPA and whoever will listen to me. I definitely do not RECOMMEND MTN and once my current contract come to an end I AM CANCELLING MY CONTRACT AND WIL NEVER USE MTN AGAIN.
