MTN is refusing to cancel my contract

I have been trying to get through to MTN's cancellations department for over three days now, through calls and smses with no success. I need my contract cancelled as I have paid the settlement fee. I am able to get through to every other department except the cancellations department. Is this a coincidence, I think not! MTN is purposefully dragging their feet with processing my cancellation for reasons only known to them. I cannot be going through so hoops to get a contract cancelled. To start of which, I had massive issues with Nicky/Nikita/Nicola in the cancellation department refusing to resolve my issue of sending me my settlement figure. MTN is being highly ethical at this point, it is just frustrating.
