MTN is reaping us off. They are charging us more and literally *****ing from us. ********* and dishonest company that I’ll never use again.
I have settled my account with MTN, in other words I paid off my phone before the account term was finished. I paid the remaining amount of my cellphone plus an additional cancellation fee. I have requested to be sent a settlement letter and I was told I’ll get it in a form of an SMS which was a lie. I then called to remind them and I was told I’ll receive it before close of business. Two days after I sent an email to five different MTN emails and I only got automatic responses that they’ll get back to me but up to date I have not received my settlement letter. I have also sent an email to their complaints department and no one has bothered to respond. In 2021 I settled my account because I wanted a cellphone upgrade and I paid the agreed amount. A week after I went to get a new phone and I was told that I need to pay extra R500 which I was not told about when I settled the account. Mind you they are the ones who gave me the price I paid then the next thing I must pay an extra R500, why ??. I paid it off and got a new phone which the contract ended last year. Last year I got an iPhone 14 which I just settled now but they are rather refusing to send me a settlement letter. This could be because it is how they jack out money from their clients. If I go back I may be told to pay more money hence they do t give us our settlement letters. I have been with MTN from October 2019 and have purchased about four cellphones from them but they are *********** and I believe they are reaping us off. I paid the amount I was told to pay, it is within my rights to get that settlement letter. I am never using MTN in my life.
