MTN is offers worst services to its loyal customers

After more than 8 years of loyalty and paying very well, this year I upgraded both my lines which I had with MTN in January, one was just for data and the other one was for Huawei P10 lite. When I received the phone I realised that it not a dual sim card as advertised by manufacturer as MTN blocked the other sim card from working even though I had made it clear to the sales consultant that I want to use 2 sim cards. Therefore I returned the phone to MTN Store in Ballito before 10 days expired. Then MTN never got back to me, I followed up with them for 2 months even after receiving invoices but they just quiet. I then asked them to migrate my other line to prepaid of which I was also ignored. Therefore I cancelled their debit orders and without making attempts to assist me they just blocked both sim card. Now in July they take me to the debt collectors for the money I owe wich includes the capital cost of that phone which I don't have. Now I am being blacklisted for owing the phone I don't even have. This is theft at its best, I am very sickened by MTN.

The payment has been made to close off my account and have the contract cancelled since my request for it to be cancelled in February which never happened. I hope and trust that you will assist me in this regard and that I will not find myself being in debt yet again for the data which I am not using.

I know that the ********** 691 line contract ends in 2020, but I am entitled to the early temination of the contract per the consumer protection Act if I am not happy with the service provider, And I have asked for this line to be cancelled, you cannot force me to be your customer against my will. I am not using the line this line since April 2018 and I do not want to use it and MTN cannot force me too. Cancel the line as per my request from the 5th of February 2018.

If I make a request in February for cancellation and it is not being done, and 5 months down the line you are still billing me and I am not even using your services that is forcing me to remain your customer, especially when I am paying for something I am not even using. And on top of that I must still pay some more on top of having paid for the services I am not using. It doesn't take 5 months to cancel a contract. I don't even have the sim card anymore. Can that Retentions department be quick already. I have contacted since forever. THIS IS NOT FUN AT ALL.

I made a payment on Monday for early termination fee on Monday, I called this Retentions on Wednesday and this morning, and the consultant just keeps saying he can't hear me and just cut off (how rude), I sent emails as well to which I received no responses as ALWAYS. Can this contract just be cancelled already and can I be informed that it has been cancelled. I don't have airtime to waste making calls to a Service Provider who knows nothing about customer service.

Now this is cherry on top just when I think that things can't get any worse, The payment I have made for the early termination fee has now been used for the September data which I did not use. On Thursday I told the retentions that I don't have the sim card anymore so they can terminate the number. On Monday they email me telling me that they are contacting me that the number goes to voicemail. Who contact someone on the number they clearly mentioned that they are not using. The email below is just shocking to say the least: Good day Mrs Mubvakure, Thank you for your email. Please be advised that we have tried contacting you however the number went to voicemail . Trust all the above is in order.
