MTN is ****ming their customers

I got contacted by MTN to do an upgrade on the 18th of December. I had been sold a deal that included a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. The agent told me that i would receive my phone in 4-5 days. This did not happen and i contacted MTN on a number of occasions to enquire about the status and was told that they can see my account but can't do anything on it as the status shows Open. On a particular occasion the customer services agent transferred me to DSV to check if they received any packages to deliver to me. They did not. I was told by customer services that only Direct sales can access my account as they put it in an Open state. The customer cervices department had tried to transfer me to Direct Sales on multiple occasions and every time it went to voicemail, but said i could not leave a message and they will call me back.

This went on for weeks and eventually in Mid January I was transferred to Direct Sales again and they answered, when i told them that i did an upgrade and have not received my phone they said please hold and they would transfer me back to Customer services. This happened 3 or 4 times. I then logged a complaint and asked them to cancel the upgrade. This did not happen, on the 25th of January I received a call from DSV to say they want to deliver my phone. It was delivered, but no watch. I queried this and was told that the deal is no longer available, however it was available when they sold the deal to me and it was delayed without any explanation from them. The representative then told me that she will get back to me..... it is now 27 Feb, still nothing from MTN.

They are a bunch of *****sters, they sell you something and entice you to upgrade or buy by promising you XYZ and then they delay it for some reason and all of a sudden it is not available.

There T&C's state while stocks available... well it was when you sold it to me and I asked if it was available and the agent confirmed, go listen to your recordings...

They record all their calls, but every time i have spoken to an agent that has gone back to the recording, they disappear, because they know they are wrong and that they are committing *****.
