MTN is dishonest, opportunistic, untrained, unorganized running on a failing it system. quick to take your money with no sight of help that actually helps

Fixed home lte contract: 1. When they took my details the got my details wrong, My email and my address. When they tried to deliver the router, they had to phone me 3 times and delivery was delayd by 2 weeks.

When I switched it on and activated the router, waited 3 days then still no connection. Went to the mtn store and the lady there gave me the mondo customer service where, once you get to an operator they tell you mtn is down please phne later. I then mailed the mondo customer service and got a mail back saying that only mtn can help me, Then phoned mtn customer care, the lady there told me she will escalate this to her manager, I sent a proof of address and then phoned them again, where the lady told me that they can not change the email without suoervisor auth. but he is not there now. Went back to the shop where they maintained that they can not do anything for me. Then phoned the customer support again. They then sent me an email stating that the MTN shop can help me, i printed this document and went back to the mtn shop. When I showed the lady this page she went into a hissy fit telling me they can not do it because the system is freezing. I told her I will wait. Then 2 min later they checked my address and told me that the contract that I app**** for: there are no slots where I live, So the service that was advertised was not available where I live, but even now if I go to check your area, it shows that this service is available. So.

They then told me I need to phone customer support and get a cancellation reference and then bring this reference with the router back to the shop.

I then phoned customer support and they put me through to retentions. The lady at retentions told me she cant help me as they system is not responding she took my number and told me she will phone me back.

So I went to the bank and sent back the debit order as I have paid over a R1000 for a device I have had for more than a month, that is still not allowing me to connect to lte.
