Mtn is benefiting from ***** and refusing to cancel ********** numbers - (Case ***)
Mtn would rather take your money, than stop ***** from taking place. More than a month in, a ********** number is still active... and the guy is still spending R200 a day on my contract...
->On the evening of 23/02 I received an sms stating that I had passed a credit check. After office hours. ->In the morning of 24/02 I called Mtn and told them that I did not make any new credit enquiries. The consultant said that a new data contract had been taken out in my name and my credit limit increased. -> The consultant said that it was a CLEAR case of *****. -> The consultant opened a case(***), told me that the new number had been cancelled and that someone would get back to me. ->16/03 - I receive an invoice for the new number... Some R3k worth of charges racked up. The guy using the sim to send money...
I called customer care and was told that: ->My case has not been processed, ->The ********** number had not been (and cannot be) cancelled. ->The guy continues to send R200 a day out of the new number.
This guy had to have internal help in order to get this done. -> This contract was ADDED to my existing contract. -> All my linked numbers were removed from my profile so that I could not see the new number. -> My credit limit was increased on the new number only. -> The case of ***** has been stalled for two weeks... While the guy spends my money...
The sad thing is that this appears to happen a lot. Sometimes an entire salary is taken... I have dealt with MTN for a long time, but this is the end of the road for me.
