MTN is ********* and *****sters.

If i could give a lower score that 1 star I would.

I bought a monthly 5g data deal + rooter by MTN and will never again do business with the company as they are dishonest and *********.

Almost 3 months ago I walked into the MTN store in Richards bay Boardwalk mall to inquire what data deals they have available, I was then introduced to their unlimited 5g deals. I askked MTN multiple times if the speed will be what they state on the deal as theres no indication or clause that it might be affected, MTN gaurenteed me that I will recieve the uploaded and download speed stated on the deal within my area.

When I got home and swiched on the product, the speed test had the right upload speed but was 15 mb/s slower on the download. Immediately I called the MTN store thinking there might be a problem, the store itself couldnt understand why this was the case requesting to call me back after there inquiry.

Within 30 min there management called me back stating that they cannot gaurentee the speed due to how many people use the cell tower. I then informed management that this was not disclosed to me even after I asked them multiple times. Management agreed that this should not have been the case and that I can return the product.

The whole process on testing the product to its return to the store was roughly 2 - 3 hours and no data was used except for the speed run test.

It has now been roughly 3 months and I only recieved my money back for the unit and not the subscription. MTN refuses to pay me back the subscription even after informing them that the fault is on their side for falsely advertising a product and staff incompetence, unfortunately they have removed me from their concerns.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MTN!
