MTN IS A ****!

MTN South Africa is a ****! I am a UNISA student who was on the "business contract" for the duration of exams. There was no stipulation of this business contract & as a result was able to use prepaid services successfully. On the 17th of August, I received an SMS (following their million and 1) stating, from the 18th of August 2020,the business contract would have been terminated and the sim card would be transferred to prepaid. The 18th of August, in my understanding, was a minute after 23:59 17/08. Yesterday, the 18th - around midday. I top up prepaid & buy a considerable amount of data, as I am still a student and still in need of their falsely advertised specials. It was not until a minute after 23:59 18/08 that they terminated the "business contract" & caused my data to "expire". I called MTN at exactly 00:20, the gentleman that was helping me gave me excuse after excuse until it got to a point where he said he would escalate the matter to his supervisor. I could not wait for 06:00, my assignment was due before midnight - he did not hear that. Granted, there are procedures to follow & as a frustrated customer, demanding a refund without his supervisor could have been unreasonable. Well, let me tell you what he did next... He completely terminated the cellphone number on that sim card. Yes, that is right. The number now does not go through to even their call centre. I don't know what the purpose of that was, perhaps because I have proof that I am legible for a refund? Is it his supervisor who authorises such, I wonder.

Alas, I am here. I want my money back MTN. I want my refund which I have proof that I am legible for. I don't care if whether or not you reopen your sim card, you can keep it as far as I'm concerned. I never want to ever deal with you again.

My number is +***.
