Mtn is a ****
I went to apply for a contract phone at mtn woodmead early this month. I explained that I have a Sim only contract with mtn and also have a permanent vodacom simcard that I use for my personal stuff, the mtn Sim card was for data only. Having explained to the lady that I'm using 2 simcards in one phone which fell and broke causing me to go there I also explained that I need a phone with a good camera quality. The lady told me that a Huawei p40 lite is a good idea and I agreed. She didn't have the phone in the shop immediately but because I urgently needed it I opted to go get it at chilli lane mtn. I told her that I had to be away for 7 days hence I had to urgently go fetch it. I got home and put both my Sim cards in the phone and with no data available but 2 network bars showing and other with a question mark I thought maybe it's because it's a vodacom Sim card. Only to find out that I was sold a single Sim card phone. I explained properly to the lady what I needed I just didn't use "dual sim" in my conversation. I went back on Tuesday of the following week and only then the lady told me that mtn doesn't sell dual Sim cards after making a fool out of me In front of other customers and arguing with me trying to make me feel stupid for not having used "dual sim". Mtn has ****med me. When I got the phone the guy just quickly gave me a paper to sign and gave me the phone with no copy to go through and when I didn't get any contract I thought I was going to receive it later in my email but nothing happened. Even up to today I haven't received any contract. Now I'm stuck with a phone that's useless to me and I'm not happy with it. I now have 2 mtn Sim cars that I'm paying for but I'm not using. I don't understand if mtn is only meant for people who speak cell phone consultants language or if it's for all customers
