MTN IS A ****

I regret the day i took contract phone with mtn. (contract was handed over without my knowledge). My contract expired, so last week i called them for a settlement amount cause I wanted to update my credit score. I settled the account and requested paid up letter and was told i will get it in 3 days. 6 days later i call and thr agent tells me my account doesn't show that it's handed over and she escalated the matter to legal and said i should call in 2 days. Two days later i call for follow up and im told its handed over and its owing (mind you i send them proof of payment after settling the account). I was told the reason im not getting paid up letter is because I owe them. How do i owe them if they gave me settlement amount and I paid in full and even send them proof of payment. Mtn is a **** and even considering changing to a network that cares about people. A network that knows the values of TCF. Ref numbers are: *** and ***.

I asked to speak to their team leader but i was given an excuse. Its now affecting my credit score very badly and i want to apply for a house.
